Social Marketing is all about building influence.

Social Marketing is all about building influence.

Glad to see you again, If you have not hired us as your Web Marketing Manger yet; You should at least subscribe to our RSS feed. Come back soon!

The idea of social media is to have like minded people connect to each other through respectful dialogue..

Like they have said for years (although I am not sure who they are?);

“People do not like to be sold to, but they DO like to buy..”

Social Marketing is about building influence and in order to have influence, readers or followers need to trust you.  To succeed with social marketing you need to create a complelling story about yourself, create a story within your niche, become that authority.

Warm up, break the ice; provide content that is useful for the type of people you want reading, listening and at the end of the day; Buying from you.

Do you go for the jugular at a dinner party? If so, get rid of that sales book — It’s old…

It just seems that most people plug shamelessly without any thought to who is following on twitter or reading their blog.

Word of Mouth Advertising is the best kind of Advertising…  We can all agree on that…

So let me ask you a question.

What do you think others are thinking about you?

    “Building influence”, yes, I agree. Building positive influence is even a more important step. There are a ton of irresponsible marketers when it comes to what they communicate and stand for.
    Building an alliance with more marketing firms which focus on creating change, positive change is great. All the best. ~Lizelle van Vuuren, EmSpot.com
