Search Engine Marketing
Keywords are the currency of the Internet.
Search Engine Marketing is defined by the New York Times as:
“the practice of buying paid search listings”
We don’t agree with this statement.
We believe that there are three main components to Search Engine Marketing (SEM).
- Paid Search is the practice of bidding either flat rate or bid rate for ads on search & content networks.
- Organic Search or Search Engine Optimization is the practice of improving your ranking or visibility in natural search position
- Site Search is the practice of extrapolating keywords or information from your visitors as they utilize your website search functionality in order to better understand your market.
The one (1) key element in all of these Practices is “keywords” or “key-phrases”. Get those wrong and you are wasting
allot of time and energy for nothing.
This industry is somewhat tainted with flyby night consulting firms that take your money with little to no results in return. We have been able to integrated these services with our pay per performance model.
