Wow I can’t believe it, Google has done it again with their “Disavow Links” Tool. If you have not heard already Google has made this tool public for any webmaster whom is ready to let google know about all their misbehaviour…

Here is a video with matt cutts explaining this “Disavow Links Tool”

My two cents and opinion at this early stage:

1) Google is getting more ammunition by unsuspecting webmasters who will gladly share all the terrible places they put their links on. This will undoubtedly create a huge database of what Google will consider “bad neighborhoods”

2) The Disavow Links tool will be used by unscrupulous Negative SEO firms which have cropped up since their penguin updates to basically tell on or “disavow links” that are based on their competitors links.

3) If you think that this tool will help you come out of whatever it is your are in. Good luck. Webmasters that have no idea what they are doing SHOULD NOT BE USING THIS tool…

Would love to hear your thoughts??

Quick Introduction to Google Tag Manager:

What is a Tag?

Tags are small pieces of code that webmasters ad to their sites in order to let site managers measure traffic and/or visitor behavior.

Why Manage Tags?
Adding tags without good site management creates issues by bogging down site code and actually slows down your website speed which in todays Post Panda world is a no no. It is also very time consuming for marketers to wait for IT people to implement these tags which delay the organization in meaningful metrics. Google Tag Manager eliminates these issues.

How Does Google Tag Manager Actually Work?
Goolge’s Tag Manager keeps track of tags and tag-firing rules by implementing only one site wide tag. When a visits comes to the site, a pixel is fired through the browser and the correct tag is shown.

Here is a quick video:

At the end of the day this is really a very cool, fast and reliable way to track & measure what your visitors behaviour is on your site. Also, this allows Google to “continue” to acquire unbelievable data on both your site and visitor’s IP address.

Frankly speaking; even without Chrome, google can get all the data in the world.. amazing..

Hats off.. any thoughts?

The function allows anyone to share the specific page within the SERP (search engine ranking page).

Obviously another attempt to get people using Google + and most likely a good future attribute for rankings as well.

Here is a cropped screen shot,

In Recent months “Negative SEO” has been the discussion of choice for SEO professionals. To simplify Negative SEO or “Google Bombing” these are ways for competitors to use automated and unnatural link building tactics directly to “competing websites” in order to have big G devalue (reduce rank) and sometimes de-index your competition from Google’s vast search library. This is not a new topic; it has been a discussion in the SEO world for many years.

Have a look at these older Posts:
http://www.webpronews.com/google-bowling-how-competitors-can-sabotage-you-what-google-should-do-about-it-2005-10
http://www.seomoz.org/pages/search_results?q=negative+seo
http://blogoscoped.com/forum/100871.html

Matt Cutts, Google’s Head of Web spam Team has always proclaimed that there is absolutely NO way competitor can successfully harm a website with link spam.

Local Search Marketing Services
<centre></centre>

In 2012 Google’s web spam team has taken a much stronger stance against link schemes and unnatural or paid link building practices. In reality any link building is considered black hat and unnatural but in the real world small & medium size business must build links in order to compete with larger brands.

Our TEST for “Negative SEO”!

In one of our mastermind groups I belong to we had a discussion based on Negative SEO and http://www.saasaffiliates.com took the stance that there is NO WAY that any website would be hurt by running spam links directly to it. We were so confident that we started our own test to see if “negative SEO” is alive and well. Here are the results:

In Mid January we started using BuildMyRank & Authority Link Network to push low level and spam links on autopilot directly to our website using spun content and diverse anchor texts. We wanted to use these networks because there was a buzz at the time that public networks will be devalued and/or de-indexed by Google. BTW, I will not link to those networks within this post for obvious reasons.

The Idea was simple, these networks still exist, still taking on new clients and if Google is de-indexing these networks, then what should happen is the links built through these networks would simply disappear and will no longer count towards ranking.

The cost was $57 monthly to hire a 3rd party to basically submit daily to these networks and to see what would happen. On March 29th we got the following from Google Webmaster:

WOW were we wrong.. Looks like Negative SEO is alive and kicking…

Google really has two choices here:
1) Devalue and/or De-index these blog networks and therefore devalue the “link juice” that websites were getting from them
2) De-indexing and/or hurt the websites using these networks

By the look of things Google has opted to do both, witch really opens up the floodgates to “Negative SEO”. Frankly as I write this there are numerous SEO companies willing to provide this unlawful and disgusting service.

Just Terrible..

Although at the end of the day, the test IS conclusive in that competitors can in fact trigger a penalty within Google, as of April 3rd we are currently not seeing any changes in rank or traffic.

Share you thoughts?

Some Highlights for 2011:

We are fifteen (15) fulltime employees strong & two (2) part-timers. Our outsourcing model has always been a win/win/win for our employees, our clients and for us in that our forward thinking workforce has been able to employ 22 full/part time employees of their own to keep up with our demand. This year has been challenging because of the increased natural disasters around the world, but we have been able to manage this well internally and provide exceptional service to our clientele.

Our clients have experienced year to year online growth of 68% to 344% and more importantly to us we have been able to provide our clients with a 282% monthly return on every dollar spent to us.

We have been playing with numerous “Pay for Ranking” models for 2011 and have come up with a model that is truly the “ONLY” Shared risk performance SEO model of its kind.

Moving Forward to 2012:

Since our inception in late 2008 we have been able to double in size every single year and 2012 will not be an exception. What we wish for ourselves, we wish for our clients; we are proud of the fact that performance based marketing allows us to work very closely with our clients and locate new profitable sources of traffic that is geared towards their individual businesses. This is an ongoing task that we are excited to take on as it helps all of us succeed. The plan is to continue to work hard in creating, optimizing and growing online sales systems for our clients.

We are swollen with pride of our accomplishment and before closing shop for 2011, we wanted to thank our clients, our employees; our readers & certainly Google for making us all sweat every once in awhile…

Here is to a Healthy, Happy & Prosperous New Year. (In whichever order you choose)
Happy Holidays!

Cheers,

This morning while walking my dog, the rain started to come down and I just knew that it is a good day for rain.

So I looked up at the sky, smiled , cried (it’s ok it was raining.. no one saw) and recited this particular poem which got me through similar past experiences.

I am hoping that this poem might help others…

She is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

- David Harkins

Dear unsuspecting seo service Seeker:

Late last year we decided to role out a new service that is primarily based on Search Engine Optimization Only. Two+ years ago when we started our pay for performance internet marketing services there was no one in this industry that was providing performance based anything. Today, there are numerous companies that have jumped on the bandwagon to offer performance based SEO only service that in reality aligns their pockets with allot more money than their standards seo packages do. It is unsuspecting customers that get hurt at the end.

Their claim to fame: NO RISK

One of the main reasons besides providing good value to this industry was to combat these NO RISK, whoops I am paying 2x as much as seo packages service. Our Pay For Performance SEO service is based on the premise that we share the risk of SEO with our clients. Unlike our competitors in this space:

We do not charge a monthly fees

We do not have minimum number of keywords

We DO SHARE the risk of SEO

At the end of the day, our model has proven itself in creating the ONLY win/win scenario in the SEO industry. In the past 4 months we have helped rank close to 120 key phrases within the top 10 rankings for customers whom have chosen this service.

The reason for this post is to rant about a call that stuck with me from a guy in Houston that basically yelled at me because our Model is a shared RISK model and not NO RISK. Frankly, the biggest reason for this rant is because he kept me on the phone way too long and I just could not give it to him on the phone as it is not our style.

He TOLD me that pay for performance = NO RISK for him…

I simply said, NO RISK = No REWARD… that is just business..

@ http://www.saasaffiliates.com We created our engagement models based on the value that we bring to our customers. We are not everything to everyone. All our models are based on a win/win scenario created through partnerships, understanding and good karma.

No such thing as a free ride Enrique.. I hope you read this and I hope you come back to post a comment. I would love to keep this conversation as an open dialogue.

The idea of Pay For Performance Internet Marketing is coming to fruition here at our firm. The year of 2010 was fantastic as we helped our client base grow their businesses and in turn our business has grown exponentially.

Some highlights:

1) Our firm has been named and ranked in the pay for performance SEO companies rankings by Topseos an Independent Authority on Search Vendors.

2) We built our team from 5 full time employees to 13 Full time staff & 2 part timers.

3) Our client base has experienced growth rates of 57% to 322% year of year growth while we have been able to provide our clients with an average of 228% monthly ROI based on what we invoice.

Moving Forward to 2011:

1) We will be extending our one to one coaching program from 10 clients to 15 as this program has been very successful, it has not been advertised to the public and allows clients that do not fit the performance model still take advantage of the knowledge base. Watch out for an email explaining this program.

2) We will be introducing a new “Pay Per Ranking” performance model for those seeking ONLY an organic ranking service. The pricing is based on competitive analysis of your chosen keyword(s) and is paid based on ranking. Look out for an email sometime in January explaining the model further.

3) We will continue to work hard to locate profitable sources of traffic for each and every one of our clients. This is the main point of performance based online marketing. We are not interested in just traffic & visibility we are always on the lookout for profitable traffic & visibility streams as we make more money when you see results.

We are very proud of our accomplishments and want to thank our clients, our employees; our readers & certainly Google for making us all sweat every once in awhile…

As we are closing down till the new year we just wanted to wish You & Yours,

A Safe, Happy & Prosperous New Year.

In whichever order you choose…

Cheers,

Uri Lederman
